This journey has started three years ago as a part-time Phd study. Alongside my research, I am blessed to be able to work as a Special Education Teacher (SET) in our local primary school. Completing a PhD part-time, gives me time for my family, motivatation and financial support during my research journey.

This month is very exciting for me, as the online questionnaire has made it's way to the participants which are teachers of Irish primary schools. Reading through the first data coming back has truly giving me shivers. Why? I am so excited to read that many teachers long for more outdoor learning in primary schools. Some suggest the manifestation of outdoor education in the Irish primary school curriculum and the need of more conitinues professional development (CPD), as well as funding and more overal support, to expose children to the outdoors, not only for breaktime.

If you are a teacher, working in Irish primary schools and have not yet seen this questionnaire, please take part in this important reseach, your view and experiences are highly appreciated.
